Removing the old battery

 

We got this process wrong also: we should have had the jacks under the pallet to lift it up to nestle under the battery. Then we could have lowered the pallet straight onto our trolley. Then simply rolled it out.

Instead (my fault) we lowered the jacks then removed the jacks one my one so that the battery ended up on the pallet. Then we dragged it out. The trolley (as we later learned) would have been much easier.

We got it out in the end but - but it wasn't elegant or quick.

Oh, hindsight.

My ground straps where in good condition so did not need replacing - no signs of rust.
